1. Children's Parties:

Q: What age group is Mr Magii's Children's Magic Show suitable for?

A: Ages 5 and upwards enjoy magic shows (and the parents do too!)

Q: How long is the Children's Magic Show?

A: A typical Children's Magic Show will last around 50 minutes, so allow an hour in your party schedule. Mr Magii usually needs around 15 minutes to set up (just to be safe) and will bring everything needed. If you supply a table, that would help, but isn't essential.

Q: Are the magic tricks safe for kids?

A: Absolutely. No fire or dangerous objects / materials are used in Mr Magii's Children's Magic Show. There are some loudish noises, and expect some shouting from the kids during the show, so if you have children who may be affected by this, please let me know in good time before the show and I will try to accommodate.

Q: Do you offer a package for children's birthday parties?

A: Yes. I can supply a Mr Magii Party Bag which includes some easy to perform magic tricks (with links to secret instruction videos on my website). These can be purchased at a cost-per-head for each child. Just ask me about the Magic Party Bag options available - some parents add a couple of small items to the Party bag themselves, such as sweeties and party favours. 

Q: What makes Mr Magii's Magic Show different for children?

A: Mr Magii will keep the children entertained for almost an hour with amazing feats of magic and illusion mixed with humour they'll understand (and one or two for the mums and dads too without being offensive). 

Q: Can Mr Magii customise the magic show for a specific theme?

A: Yes. If you'd like to chat about a specific theme or trick for the children, just let me know and we can work out the options.

Q: Do you include balloon animals or face painting in your children's magic show?

A: Balloon models yes, but face painting no. Balloons are usually an additional add-on, and can take between 15-30 minutes depending on the number of children. Basic and fun (so if you're looking for a Spiderman or a monkey with a coconut in a tree, maybe Mr Magii isn't right for your party). We're talking silly hats, swords, bracelets and a few sausage dogs too. 

Q: Is audience participation encouraged during the children's magic show?

A: Absolutely! The birthday child or children will definitely be included as assistants, as well as one or two of their friends. And every now and again, the odd parent gets roped in because the kids love nothing better.

Q: How much does a children's magic show cost?

A: Mr Magii's prices are based on an hourly rate, number of children, services required, and travelling distance. I'm based in South London, so prices are usually lower for local shows. Take a look at my 'PRICES' page for examples of how much I charge, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.  

2. Private Parties:

Q: Can Mr Magii perform at private parties for adults?

A: Of course! Mr Magii is a Member of The Magic Circle, the most prestigious magic society in the world. They don't just accept anyone - in fact members have to take two exams to be accepted which involve performing to other professional magician's from around the UK. What this means for you, is that when you book Mr Magii, you know you're booking one of the UK's best magicians. And I love performing close-up, card tricks and mind reading feats one-to-one. I guarantee you'll be amazed.

Q: What types of events does Mr Magii cater to besides children's parties?

A: Mr Magii can cater for most events, such as birthday and engagement parties, weddings, wedding anniversaries, graduatios, office celebrations, corporate events - in fact if you're looking for entertainment at your event, Mr Magii can work with you and pretty much accommodate it.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of guests for private parties?

A: If you want everyone to have a chance of seeing some magic close up and in their hands, yes. For walk-around to groups of about 5 people at a time, it will take 1 hour and 40 mins just to do 10 minutes per group. Including laughter and chat, this pretty much takes 2 hours. So, you can do the maths. I usually suggest 1 hour for small groups up to 25, and 2 hours up to 50 people and 3 hours for up to 75.

Q: Can you perform both close-up magic and stage magic for private parties?

A: Yes! I have performed for many years as a comedy stage magician, so more than happy to perform a mixture of walk-around close-up magic and a stage show to ensure everyone gets to be amazed with some magical entertainment. 

Q: Do you offer customised magic routines for special occasions?

A: Yes. Given enough time to prepare something after discussing your requirements, Mr Magii can usually perform customised magic.  

Q: How far in advance should I book for a private party event?

A: The sooner you book, the more we can chat about your expectations. If you're happy for me to just turn up and 'do my thing' that's fine too (in fact it's what most people expect). 

Q: Are there any specific requirements for the performance space at private parties?

A: No. A table of some sort is useful, but Mr Magii can perform in most spaces that can accommodate your standing or seated audience. 

Q: What sets Mr Magii apart from other magicians for private events?

A: People typically say that my personality and tricks set me apart. I don't perform typical magic you may have seen from a friend or uncle, and don't perform complicated card tricks and flourishes just to 'show off'. My magic is performed with you the audience in mind, never to make people look fools or silly. I want everyone to feel amazed, have a laugh and maybe feel like a child again. 

Q: Do you offer a money-back guarantee for private party performances?

A: No. But if for any reason you feel my magic was underwhelming, then I'd be happy to 1. find out why 2. discuss a fair refund. to date, nobody has ever asked me for a refund - but I do get re-booked.

Q: Are there any travel fees for private events outside your local area?

A: Yes. If I need to travel more than an hour, I typically calculate my time accordingly. This would obviously be included in your quote before booking me. 

3. Private Events (Birthdays and Weddings):

Q: Can Mr Magii perform at birthday parties for all age groups?

A: Yes, absolutely. Mr Magii's Magic Show can be performed to the whole family, just youngsters or for older audiences too. Many of the tricks remain the same, but the language and stories change to suit the audience.

Q: Do you provide entertainment for weddings besides magic shows?

A: Yes. Although magic is my speciality, and I can perform a kids show to keep them entertained and out of the way while the adults enjoy toasts and speeches. I can also perform walk-around later in the evening before or after dinner for all the family to enjoy. I can host a children's disco in a separate space if required, play party games, and / or make balloon models to help expel some of their energy so your guests can enjoy a little grown-up time.

Q: Can you customise a magic routine for a birthday boy or girl?

A: Yes. Just let me know what you have in mind, and I'll let you know what I can do. 

Q: What is included in your wedding entertainment package?

A: You can choose from a number of packages, but typically they will include a Children's Magic Show during the day, a walk-around close-up section for around one to two hours before or after dinner and a stage show between 20-40 minutes in the evening. 

Q: Can you perform during the cocktail hour at a wedding reception?

A: Yes. Walk-around close-up magic in the hands of your guests before their very eyes is one of the best ways to entertain during cocktail hour - or any other gaps of time during your special day. Just bear in mind that I may only get to show between 50-70 people close-up magic in an hour, so not everyone may get to see the magic.

A: It's advisable to book as early as possible to secure your preferred date, especially for peak corporate event seasons in the UK.
